Description

Want to know more about writing for fun? Award-winning writer Xie Shi Min will take aspiring writers through the common patterns (or tropes) in our very own folklore and myths. After this, Shi Min will assist them in writing their very own Asian myth.

Fun and creative, this session will cater to children who love writing and want to write their own stories some day.

This session is for 10 to 12-year-olds and is two hours long.

About the Organiser

Xie Shi Min spends her time writing books and living in a book fort. Her first book, “Dragonhearted”, was shortlisted for the Scholastic Asian Book Award in 2014 and published in 2016. Shortlisted for the Singapore Book Awards in 2017, “Dragonhearted” won the Hedwig Anuar Children’s Book in 2018. In her spare time, she loves to hug fat cats—the fatter they are, the better.
