Description

Moving in small groups, participants will go from one place to another to decode Singapore-centric messages written in Braille. In return, they will receive SingLit cards, which can be gathered to spin a new story, retell a familiar local tale and share experiences.

Suitable for the young and the young at heart, this activity will allow participants to learn more about Singapore literature in a refreshingly interactive way. They can learn the Braille Alphabet Code via the two featured books published by Helang Books: Hang Nadim and the Garfish, written by Hidayah Amin and illustrated by Tan Ai Khim; and Si Ma Guang and the Giant Jar, written by Lee Seow Ser and illustrated by Tan Ai Khim.
