Description

Hear SingLit through a compilation album featuring poems in English, Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil, retold through voice, music, and sound. Scan the QR codes and listen to local poems about kaya toast, the kampung spirit, and what happens on bus 54… And definitely listen out for a specially recorded version of a Twin Cinema poem, an exciting poetic form invented by Singaporean poet Yeow Kai Chai, which comprises two discrete columns that can be read individually or in combination. Poems on Air is a digital installation bringing Singapore literature across the island through a broadcast network. Transforming words from a page into auditory tickles, SingLit can now be heard and experienced through the world of sound.
