Description

Find out what a fossil feels like and learn what fossils can tell us about dinosaurs in this session with authors Andy Chua (the Fossil Finders series) and Amon Chua (the Ryan & Rex series). The authors will talk about the inspiration behind their books, and share their passion for natural history, especially that of Singapore and the region. Amon was only 11 when his first Ryan & Rex book was published. Andy, a member of the Singapore Fossil Collectors, will bring fossils from his own collection for a show-and-tell, with fossils including sharks’ teeth, ammonites, dinosaur eggs and even dinosaur poop. Participants can take part in a quiz about dinosaurs and stand a chance to win prizes. They can also challenge the authors with dinosaur-related questions of their own, and if the authors cannot provide an answer, the challenger will walk away with a very special prize – a real fossil.
