Love poems are more than just about love: they represent the ideals and aspirations of a people. In this session at the National Gallery Singapore, poets such as Edwin Thumboo, Eric Tinsay Valles, Jennifer Champion, Tan Chee Lay and Lily Teo will share poems covering passionate feelings, intimate friendship, heartache and other aspects of relationships.
They will perform in the various languages of Singapore, accompanied by music and dance, in a showcase of our multicultural landscape of love. A discussion of love poetry with the audience will follow.
